Atty. Juan Paolo Fajardo is currently the Deputy Commissioner for the National Privacy Commission.** As a member of both the Philippine and New York Bar, Atty. Juan Paolo Fajardo is a widely recognized and highly experienced practitioner with over ten (10) years of hands-on experience in the fields of Data Privacy and Security, Information and Communications Technology Law, Regulatory Compliance and Civil and Criminal Litigation.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University and his Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines College of Law. He completed his Master of Laws from Columbia Law School in New York with special focus on informational privacy, complex breach litigation, and cross-border privacy regulation. Apart from his time with the Supreme Court and with ACCRA Law, he also served as consultant for the Office of the National Privacy Commissioner where he assisted the Commission in developing its framework for privacy compliance.

Prior to his appointment in government and as a senior partner of the firm, he advised both foreign and domestic conglomerates, financial institutions, logistics, energy, manufacturing and retail organizations and business outsource processing companies on both local and global data privacy and protection regulation. His primary advocacies include data privacy education and awareness, frequently collaborating with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, continuing legal education institutions and the Asia Pacific Training Centre for ICT (APCICT) for Development of the United Nations.

**Due to his government appointment in 2026, Atty. Fajardo has withdrawn from the firm.
